01 · Nexcommon Varco · for designers, contractors and verifiers
Delivery and review exchange between designers and verifiers
Varco takes drawings into the right common data environment and brings the answers back. From your computer to your CDE platform, or between two different CDE platforms — from Autodesk Construction Cloud to Trimble Connect — with the folder structure, the latest version, the version history and the metadata. Review comments from the verifier become Issues in the designer’s environment, and the designer’s responses go back to the original comment with name and date. Anyone without access to a CDE platform replies on a protected Excel sheet and still ends up in the log. For every exchange the record shows what was transferred, when and with which SHA-256 fingerprint. Varco is a service managed by Nexcommon: there is nothing to install and the delivery log can be consulted on the platform.

02 · Document Register · for designers and contractors
Preparation and self-check of the document register
You select the delivery folder: the system reads it in your browser, organised by WBS or by discipline, reads the PDF title blocks (code, revision, date, title) and generates the document register in Excel according to the chosen naming convention, national or international, in Italian or English. The files stay on your computer: only names, fingerprints and title-block text reach the server. It works for everyone, BIM and non-BIM: alongside models and drawings it accepts data sheets, certificates, scans and photos from suppliers and installers, and records the source program of every file. Designed for construction companies and engineering firms: it flags inconsistencies between the register, file names and title blocks and lets you align them before delivery. The register is then sent to the verification company in a format compatible with Nexcommon Verify: the completeness check starts from data that is already structured and is much faster.

1 · Select the delivery
Choose the folder on your computer: it is read in the browser, by WBS and/or discipline, even if it weighs gigabytes. A direct link to the CDE platform through Varco is coming soon.
2 · Choose convention and language
UNI 11337 or ISO 19650 (including national annexes), or your company’s own rule. Register in Italian or English, with local date and paper formats.
3 · Align and send
Fix the anomalies by aligning register, file names and title blocks, compare with the previous delivery and send the register with the transmittal letter. The file is compatible with Nexcommon Verify.

PDF archiving with a digital fingerprint
Designed for contracting authorities and verification bodies, which receive deliveries and must be able to prove which documents were reviewed and approved. For every PDF a unique fingerprint (SHA-256 hash) is computed and recorded with date and time in a register that cannot be altered. At any time, even years later or in a dispute, you can prove that the document under examination is identical to the one delivered, verified or approved.

Frequently asked questions
Are there limits on users or projects?
No. The fee applies to your company (one VAT number) and covers all your colleagues and all your projects. Each user signs in with their own named account and business email. Use is reserved for the company holding the subscription: for several companies in the same group there is the Enterprise plan.
How does the three-year subscription work?
It is a subscription with a three-year commitment, invoiced every year, with the price locked for the whole term. At expiry it renews from year to year unless cancelled.
How do I pay?
Once online purchasing opens, payment will be by credit card or SEPA through Stripe, with automatic renewal. Until then the subscription is activated on order, with an electronic invoice issued by Nexcommon S.r.l.
Can I cancel?
Monthly and annual subscriptions can be cancelled at any time by email and remain active until the end of the period already paid. The three-year subscription can be cancelled with effect from the end of the three-year term.
When do I get access?
Today activation is on request: after your form or email we contact you, register the company with its VAT number and send you access with your business email; from there you invite your colleagues. Once online purchasing opens, registration and activation will be immediate.
We are a public body: can we buy by purchase order or on MePA?
Yes. For contracting authorities and public administrations the subscription can also be activated by direct order, with an electronic invoice and CIG code. Write to us from the Contact page.
Do I need Autodesk and Trimble accounts for Varco?
It depends on what you use it for. To take drawings from your computer to your CDE platform you only need a connection to the destination environment. To connect two different CDE platforms you need both accounts, with the credentials of the people doing the work, and the Autodesk hub administrator must approve the integration: this is a choice to agree in advance, because an integration approved on an Autodesk account acts with the permissions of whoever approved it. The review exchange with the protected Excel sheet also works with designers who have no CDE platform at all. Varco remains a service managed by Nexcommon; under a specific agreement your company can use an Autodesk application registered in its own name.
Which classifications does the document register support?
For naming: in Italy UNI 11337; internationally the ISO 19650 naming convention, including national annexes; or your company’s own rule. For classification: Uniclass 2015 and OmniClass, from the official table you upload.
Is the fingerprint equivalent to a digital signature?
No, and it is worth being precise: it is proof of delivery. The SHA-256 fingerprint proves that the re-checked file is identical to the one recorded, and the tamper-proof register proves when it was recorded. It is neither a digital signature nor a qualified timestamp: if you need them, they are quoted separately.
