The Nexcommon method

The Nexcommon method

Four steps to turn specialist knowledge into common knowledge

We don’t replace your software or your people: we connect them. Here is how, on a real example.

Video: the Nexcommon method in four steps (1 minute, on-screen text in Italian) · designed by Nexcommon with the help of an LLM

The example: a viaduct to be upgraded. Six disciplines, three common data environments, hundreds of drawings and emails. Everyone does good work, but nobody has the overall picture.
1

Listen

We talk to the people doing the work and, with the help of AI, we draw the map: who does what, with which software.

Example · The designer delivers on ACC, the verifier works on Trimble Connect, the contractor sends bills of quantities by certified email. In a few meetings the map is ready.

2

Connect

We connect the tools that are already there. Nobody changes software.

Example · Drawing TAV-0101 rev. C uploaded by the designer reaches the verifier with the same revision, its history and metadata. No files passed around by email.

3

Automate

AI agents carry out the repetitive checks. The professional always makes the decision.

Example · The file name says rev. D, the title block says rev. C: the inconsistency is flagged before delivery. Ask “which drawings have changed since yesterday?” and the answer comes in a few seconds.

4

Share

Every role sees the same data, in the form it needs.

Example · The client sees progress, the site supervisor the open review comments, the contractor the approved drawings. Decisions are made on the same numbers.

The result

Before: Files passed around by email
After: a tracked workflow
Before: Manual checks
After: automatic alerts
Before: Everyone has their own version
After: one shared dataset
Before: Knowledge in people’s heads
After: common knowledge
